Storage Configuration
The "Storage Configuration" section in the admin portal allows administrators to manage storage-related features and settings within the Cloud Management Platform (CMP). One of the key configurations available here is the option to Enable Amazon S3 Service. Amazon S3 (Simple Storage Service) as a storage option within the Cloud Management Platform (CMP). Amazon S3 is a highly scalable, reliable, and secure cloud storage solution that provides object storage with a user-friendly interface.
Enable Amazon S3 Service
The "Enable Amazon S3 Service" option in the admin portal provides the ability to integrate Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) into the Cloud Management Platform (CMP). Amazon S3 is a leading cloud storage service known for its high scalability, reliability, and robust security features. By enabling this option, administrators can allow users to store, retrieve, and manage data directly in Amazon S3 via the CMP. This feature supports a range of data storage needs, from simple backups to complex machine learning datasets.
1. Steps to Enable Amazon S3 Service :

Login into the admin portal.

Navigate to the Config section by clicking on the Config icon in the portal menu.

Under CMP Config section, click on the Feature Configuration link.

Select the Storage tab to lists all the storage related features available for configuration.
2. Enable or Disable the Feature :

Look for the option labeled Enable Amazon S3 Service in the list of feature configurations.

Use the toggle switch to Enable or Disable the Feature.

- The portal will automatically update the changes.
3. Effect in User Portal :

Navigate to User Portal > Addon > S3 Storage

Users can create a new S3 bucket, which serves as a container for their objects (files).

Within the bucket, users can upload files, images, and documents as needed.

Users can set permissions on the bucket level to control access, ensuring that sensitive data is only accessible to authorized users.

Files stored in S3 can be retrieved and downloaded at any time from the CMP user portal.
