VPC Offerings
-
VPC (Virtual Private Cloud) is a logical section of the cloud infrastructure that mimics the behavior of a traditional multi-tier physical network. It allows users to create and manage their own isolated network environment within the cloud.
-
A VPC essentially acts as a container for multiple virtual networks. Each of these networks is isolated from others, but they can still communicate internally through a virtual router known as VPC-VR (VPC Virtual Router).
Steps to access VPC Offerings in the admin Portal:
- To manage and view the different Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) offerings in the Stackbill portal, you can access the VPC Offering List page. This page is the central location where you can create, edit, and manage various VPC offerings.
1. Navigate to the VPC Offerings Section :
- Go to the "Products" section of the admin portal.
- From there, click on "VPC Offerings".
2. Overview of the VPC Offering List Page :
- On this page, you will find a list of all the existing VPC offerings that have been created in the portal.

VPC Offering Actions
In the Stackbill portal, you can control the availability of Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) offerings by enabling or disabling them. Disabling a VPC offering makes it temporarily unavailable to users, while enabling it restores access to the offering. This process is useful when you want to pause a VPC offering without permanently deleting it or re-enable a previously disabled offering.
1. Navigate to the VPC Offering List:
-
First, log in to the admin portal.
-
Navigate to the Products section and select VPC Offerings from the list. This will take you to the VPC Offering List page, where you can see all the available VPC offerings.
2. Click the Enable/Disable Offering Button :
-
In the Action column for the desired VPC offering, click on the Enable/Disable button. This button may show either "Enable" or "Disable," depending on the current status of the VPC offering.
- If the offering is currently enabled, the option will be to Disable it.
- If the offering is currently disabled, the option will be to Enable it.

3. Confirm the Action:
-
Once you click the Enable/Disable button, a confirmation dialog will appear.
-
Confirm your decision by clicking the Disable or Enable button, depending on the action you're taking.

4. Success Notification:
- After confirming, you will receive a notification or message stating that the selected VPC Offering has been enabled/disabled successfully.

VPC Offer Pricing Configuration
1. Accessing the Cost Action Button:
-
In the VPC Offering section, you can configure the cost associated with a specific vpc offering.
-
To begin, click on the Cost Action Button, which will take you to the VPC Offer Price page.

2. Select the Zone :
-
On the VPC Offering Cost screen, you will first need to select the zone for which you want to apply the pricing.
-
Either you can apply the cost to a specific zone or apply it to All Zones if you want the pricing to be consistent across multiple zones.
3. Enter the VPC Offering Cost :
-
In the VPC Offering Cost field, enter the base cost for the VPC offering.
-
This is the price users will be charged for maintaining a VPC under this offering in the selected zone.
-
The cost could be a fixed amount per hour, in our billing model.
4. Add the VPC Offering Cost :
-
After entering the VPC Offering cost and the HA cost, click the Add button to save these values.
-
If you need to apply different pricing for different zones, you can repeat this process for each zone.

5. Success Notification :
- Once you click the Add button, the system will confirm that the VPC Offering cost has been successfully added.

- The updated pricing will now apply to users selecting this VPC offering in the chosen zone.
