Container Configuration
The "Container Configuration" section in the admin portal allows administrators to manage container-related features and settings within the Cloud Management Platform (CMP). One of the key configurations available here is the option to Enable Kubernetes Service. Kubernetes is a popular container orchestration platform that allows users to automate the deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications. By enabling Kubernetes within the CMP, administrators can provide end-users with enhanced capabilities to deploy and manage container workloads in a cloud-native manner.
Enable K8s Service
The "Enable K8s Service" option in the admin portal provides administrators with the ability to activate Kubernetes (K8s) services within the Cloud Management Platform (CMP). Kubernetes is an open-source platform used for managing containerized workloads and services. By enabling this option, administrators allow users to easily deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters within their cloud environment, offering a Container as a Service (CaaS) solution integrated within the existing Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) framework.
1. Steps to Enable K8s Service :
-
Login into the admin portal.
-
Navigate to the Config section by clicking on the Config icon in the portal menu.
-
Under CMP Config section, click on the Feature Configuration link.
-
Select the Container tab to lists all the container related features available for configuration.
2. Enable or Disable the Feature :
-
Look for the option labeled Enable K8s Service in the list of feature configurations.
-
Use the toggle switch to Enable or Disable the Feature.

- The portal will automatically update the changes.
3. Effect in User Portal :
-
Navigate to User Portal > Compute > Kubernetes
-
On the Create Cluster page, users can configure their Kubernetes cluster by specifying details such as the number of nodes, cluster name, and other settings.

- Once the cluster settings are filled out, users can initiate the creation process. The platform will handle the infrastructure provisioning and setup for the Kubernetes cluster.
